What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage for session state.

How we use cookies

Strictly necessary: authentication session cookies to keep you signed in and protect your account.
Security: CSRF tokens and rate-limiting identifiers.
Preferences: remembering UI choices where applicable.

A cookie consent banner for non-essential cookies is planned separately (see product issue #40). Until then, only essential cookies are set by default for core functionality.

Third-party cookies

Stripe checkout and Google OAuth may set their own cookies when you use those features. Refer to Stripe and Google privacy policies for details.

Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using the dashboard.
